Board move for Jenks
Paul Jenks has joined the board of Markel International. Paul has been with Markel International since its
formation in 2001, and has been responsible for the impressive growth of the marine and energy division.
As managing director of the division, he has helped the marine and energy business achieve 11% compound
annual growth in premium volume since 2001 and a 91% combined ratio over the same period.

Steven Zhang has been appointed to represent Markel in China. This follows the establishment of a representative office in Beijing earlier this year. Steven's role will be to deepen Markel's knowledge of the Chinese market and to develop the company's long-term strategy for China. |
