Underwriting strength
Markel International Sweden offers a core product portfolio of marine business and professional risks, including general liability
and product liability, and covers risks for multinational companies, national industries and private individuals. Business can be written through either of Markel International's commercial entities: Markel International Insurance Company Ltd (MIICL) and the company’s wholly-owned Lloyd's Syndicate 3000. Both have 'A' ratings from A.M. Best. Most of the Stockholm-based underwriters have over 20 years' experience in the north and east European markets. They are supported by a very large pool of Markel International underwriters in the London market, while the local Stockholm claims team is backed by 75 claims specialists in the UK.
